Once Dr. Donald Berwick, the new head of the Medicare and Medicaid programs, pulls the arrows out of his back, he should get to work doing the job for which he is supremely qualified: fixing the government health insurance programs.

I read your Dr. Berwick column in the local paper today. Usually, you are just so out of touch I just laugh go back to Fox news. However, the Dr. Berwick article made me crazy.
Since the Obama, Pelosi, Reid goal is single payer healthcare, Dr. Berwick fits perfectly into this scenario. Obama has stated most of his political career and Reid just mentioned it yesterday that they want a single payer system. Dr. Berwick approves of the English style of health care and rationing. He DOES, it is in print, he has not denied saying it. The government run health care would not have competed fairly with private companies. Would the government run company have to pay income taxes, dividends to shareholders, make a profit for growth? Any of that? It would not be fair. The government run health care plan would drive private insurers out of business which is what is wanted by Obama and the rest of his crazy liberal entourage.
Now you want to add another government run social program on top of Social Security and Medicare. The most underfunded, bankrupt programs in American history. Oh, thats right, Obama care is going to reduce the deficit over the next decade!!! Do any Democrats REALLY believe that? Give me a break. Go back and look at any cost projections for Social Security and Medicare over the past several decades. My guess is that they all came up way short of actual future costs.
The English system is broken, it took a while but it had to implode on itself. That is the unfortunate thing about all Obama/Democratic legislation the past 20 months. It gives the voters he is trying to bribe a nice warm fuzzy feeling today but the after shock wont be felt for years or decades.
It does appear that liberalism is a disease. Have you seen the movie “As good as it gets” with Jack Nicholson? When he is talking to the receptionist in his publishers office, replace the word women/female, etc. in his comment with the word liberal. It still works.
It is so, so scary that you and other liberals can actually believe this crap you are saying. Obama is destroying this country. He has divided this country like never before, except maybe the civil war. Even current Democratic columnists are beginning to understand. Did you see the WSJ today? Quit drinking the Kool Aid before it is to late to jump of the Obama crazy train.
